Could BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Top Next Week's BILLBOARD Album Chart?

January 31, 2008

According to Hits Daily Double (the companion web site of music industry tip sheet HITS),BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's sophomore album, "Scream Aim Fire", is poised to sell between 45,000 and 50,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release. This number would put it in a race for the No. 1 slot on next week's The Billboard 200 chart with Universal Motown's debuting prog-rockers MARS VOLTA, ALICIA KEYS, Rhino's resilient "Juno" soundtrack and the "Grammy Nominees 2008" compilation on Hip-O/UMe.

Based on one-day sales figures, it is looking like next Tuesday's HITS album chart will feature the lowest-selling No. 1 entry in modern history, according to the site.

As previously reported, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline", hosted by Bob Coburn, airing Monday, March 3 at 11:30 p.m. EST/8:30 p.m. PST. Fans can talk live with BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE by calling 800-344-ROCK (7625). To find a station near you or to listen to the show live via the Internet, go to www.rocklineradio.com.

"Scream Aim Fire"'s CD/DVD edition features a music video for the title track, a "making-of" documentary, segments from "Bullet TV," tours of the recording studio and the band's quarters there, a photo gallery and more.

The Welsh quartet recently issued a 15-minute digital single containing the songs "Scream Aim Fire" and "Eye of the Storm", plus track-by-track commentary by Tuck and drummer Michael "Moose" Thomas.

The new disc follows up BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE's 2006 debut, "The Poison", which has sold 375,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will join AVENGED SEVENFOLD and ATREYU on this winter's Taste of Chaos tour, beginning on February 29 in Denver.
